The architectural typology of the kindergarten redefines early childhood education spaces by merging compact functionality with the openness of an atrium layout. Located in Sloboština, the design fragments the structure into four child-scaled pavilions, each with its unique identity, connected by a unifying roof and a central atrium that fosters social interaction. The dynamic layout integrates with its surroundings, offering outdoor play areas that encourage exploration and discovery. The kindergarten emphasizes natural light to create comfortable microclimates. By blending indoor and outdoor spaces, the project emboldens children’s independence and curiosity while serving as a community landmark.
